ASEAN Founders Aviation Sub-Tree

ughhhh, it’s a 70 USD premium and the devs doesn’t even bother to make it right, what a slop, I’ll try making a bug report on the radar if I got time

ngl their update scheduling is messed up after second half of the year, instead of linear update gap they think just do it quarterly March-June-September and then 4th and 5th update gap is so close (November and December) just because anniversary is in November.

Any news on the indonesian F-15? Wasn’t the time limit for a response mid december?

4x Mavericks has been accepted, and the refueling prove has also been accepted.

I doubt we will ever see the refueling probe modeled, but hopefully we get the 2 other maverick

209 with refuel probe is 50/50 on me because there is 209 that doesn’t have refuel probe, tho I wonder why few examples didn’t have it fitted 🤔

Seems like it’s a usual IdAF practice to not use/mount equipments unless it’s needed for an operation. Other examples are Hawk gunpod and JHCMS for the F-16s. IdAF aircraft are also not usually seen with live missiles

This might be a bit off-topic, but is there a bug with the MiG-29N’s radar? I feel like the DL is showing as 0.
I’m having trouble because missiles aren’t showing up on the radar screen, so I can’t tell if they’re being guided.

I must say once again how much I expect another glow up of this tree, the R2Y2 line ends here at rank 3 for those who never got them, and in my opinion if gaijin isn’t saving something like Indonesia for this line in the future then I don’t know what it is, if it wasn’t the case then Malaysia would’ve made more sense on this line for sure, but hopefully the MiG-17PF, MiG-19 or 21to link up with the base T-50i and then F-16C Block 52ID and then the Rafale B/EI F4, alternatively they can also have the Indonesian Su-30MK2 somewhere in that line as well as another 13.3 option, we’ll see but I’m glad to see such a glow up of this tree in just 1 year, here’s to more! 🍷

imo we could have the Lim-6 (Polish MiG-17 with drag chute) instead of MiG-17PF, so it would be rather unique than having a third 17PF in the game, MiG-19S would be alright for BR filler.

Although I’d really like to see it in-game because locally it’s an iconic aircraft, the MiG-21F-13 is, let’s say, challenging to play, so I’m pessimistic about it. On the other hand, we also didn’t have the East German, Hungarian, and Finnish 21F-13 despite them having it irl.

Lim-6 (Polish MiG-17 with drag chute)

Ain’t the Lim-6’s (and the Lim-5’s to a lesser extent) also geared more towards CAS & Ground Attack since it has extra hardpoints. I know this since Bulgarian and East German Lim-6’s were used in that role. There was a dedicated ground attack variant of the Lim-6, the Lim-6 bis that Bulgaria and East Germany operated that sub-variant alongside Poland. Egyptian MiG-17’s & Lim-5’s also got a similar (domestic) upgrade package towards CAS & Ground Attack as well

Indonesia can get the Regular Lim-5 as well as a T-33 with unique domestic upgrades and CA-27, again with unique upgrades that neither the Malay or Australian variants had

You make a good point, yeah in that case then a Lim-6 would be better for sure, and yeah MiG-19S > MiG-21F-13 any day

Damn, talk about a major upgrade lol

Rafale is good plane. If F-22 raptor was never built Rafale would likely be considered a 5th gen. Hopefully we will get it as a sub tree plane though I find heavy fighters tend to dominate top tier vs these light fighters.
