tbf for ID most rank barring rank 1, 2, & 8 has a french vehicle in it, some even has more than two or three and its of no surprise considering we bought a shitton of stuff from France

Back in the day French export equipment was very affordable and advanced from what I have read. Now a days its considered a bit pricy for what you get. French optics for all things are still very popular and tend to find there way into upgrade packages.
there’s also the big benefit of them actually willing to sell us stuff
you know then-enemy of the Netherlands, a fellow NATO member, who is trying to fight against the Dutch using said French equipment in the West Irian dispute

Just based on how the Thai tree was added, heres how I see things going:
AMX-13/75 (cpp)
AMX-13/105 (cpp using existing assets added alongside FRA)
Harimau (unique)
Leopard 2A4 (cpp)
Leopard 2A4RI (semi-cpp semi-unique)
I’d like to be proven wrong with more unique vehicles or local mods, but I just don’t see Gaijin doing that after butchering basically every other subtree addition past SADF with cpp spam.

Meh, with how underwhelming the BTR-3 was I don’t have a whole lot of hope for it to be an upgrade and fill a 9.3 slot. Especially with Gaijin just happening to make it so Barriers don’t get fire on the move capability like Russian beam riders.
If we are getting an ID IFV, I’d rather see a Marder 1A3 to bring in an 8.3 lineup or the BMP-3F filling the 9.3 slot instead of our 4th 9.0 IFV in the JP tree.
Really though, an actually unique IFV that would fill a higher BR slot than the BTR-3 would by the AV8 or CCV with my vote going towards the CCV since it would also give Japan a good high tier gun SPAA too.
