Gaijin don’t do 1x gunner’s sights, IRL the other zoom option is “unity” (otherwise known as 1x)

Upon inspection it’s now all RHA and HHA
IRL it has optical unity (1x) vision, 6x optical magnification, and IIRC up to 4x digital zoom for both. But gaijin don’t do 1x magnification, and IIRC don’t do digital either

If they can’t model 1x for reasons, why not just give everything that should have 1x a 2x magnification? It’s actually ridiculous being fixed 6x on gunner AND commander.

Not for ground though. They said as much, regarding why the SA and SEP Abrams don’t have their 25x magnification mode
They explicitly do not do digital zoom, IIRC they nerfed the Apache’s zoom because it turned out to be digital. If you think that is digital, then file a bug report about it.
Challenger 1’s commander optic has it.
If you look through rank 1 vehicles, you’ll find a bunch of unmagnified optics are set to 1.8x
Commander optics get 1x where applicable
All sights with zoom poor enough get set by gaijin to br 1.9x-3.5x as default
