Chengdu J-10, History, Performance & Discussion

I can state quite clearly that the maximum afterburner thrust of the WS-10B (1) is approximately 144 kN, with military thrust rated at 92 kN. As for weight, it is generally believed that the WS-10B has a thrust-to-weight ratio of 8 to 8.2 under the GJB standard. When converted to the Russian standard currently used by Gaijin, this does not result in any significant weight increase over the AL-31F. (Under the GJB standard, the AL-31F has a thrust-to-weight ratio of approximately 6.95.)

after all, they are almost same sized engine, wont be so much weight difference

I have found information on China’s DIRCM system for fighter jets, with the source likely being the 2021 Zhuhai Airshow.

Spoiler

The exhibition booth displayed an Integrated Electro-Optical Warning and Laser Countermeasure System, a new HUD, and the Yings 390electro-optical pod.

The DIRCM was exhibited as a physical component. In the CG video, the carrier aircraft was a J-15, with the DIRCM installed on both the upper and lower sections of the airframe,is similar to that of the Su-57’s DIRCM. I believe it should provide full 360-degree coverage.

Question is do we have those on j-10?

not sure

This most likely just a show of of what could as if something like LDIRCM was mounted we would have already seen it somewhere, out best bet for LDIRCM is the YINGS-III TGP (tho that has been denied already)

Yes, this is just a show but… “Only the technical feasibility of using the weapons matters.” XD.

Remind this “bug reporting manager 1” about the mig21pfm and how they denied r60s for it because “it didnt use them in soviet service”

Istg they change their agenda every fortnight. Top tier premiums, ultimate versions of a vehicle being premium and now this trash

bug reporting manager 1 can be anyone, its just given to the first bug report manager that replies to the issue, its not the same person every time

Where are the RWR sensors located on the J-10A?

Spoiler

image

The KJ8602 sensors are similar to the L-150 sensors, I see two of them on the wing

But I can’t find 2 more sensors either on the model in the game or in the photos of the planes

I can only assume that one of these sensors is related to the RWR

Huh, interesting. Wonder to whom Algeria is gonna go (if Snail ever bother to add them) considering their airpark.
Or gonna be treated like Malaysia
