Iris-t slm

not familiar with WTM, what does it stand for?

War Thunder Mobile

thats a thing?

you can use gbus in the eft (gnss mode) , spam enemy spawn points with like 10 of those , (just fly high drop the bombs when you are 20km away from the slm) and spam some amraams into the slm or just launch it at a random target , slm will waste a few missiles to intercept amraams and its not gonna get all 10 bombs.

gaijin is slowly moving the radar guided sams , even s300/patriot/s400 was leaked by a famous leaker. i think they may add new spawn points for sams ? and maybe add anti radiation missiles/cruise missiles/MITL missiles soon ?

just spawn a tank and kill it that way. some smart positioning and heat-fs or he and you can hit the barn-sized vehicles from across the map.

Anti-radiation missiles are definity coming due to how crucial it is in taking out SAM systems.

And what if lets just say I kill one IRIS-T then die and then spawn my aircraft and then another player spawns an IRIS-T…

Yes they are huge but also hard to kill from the ground as unless they are in the open are usually hidden behind rocks/buildings and you need to kill the Radar vehicle.

How are you spamming AMRAAMs at a target on the ground?

u wait for the slm to launch a missile and u soft lock the missile in tws , spam all missiles at the first missile or try to switch to the other missiles and spam all of your amraams. i have tried this in the su30sm/f16c. u have to narrow your radar’s search width.

very curious about how long it will take for them to apply these accepted changes and new mechanism fixes.

Years

Not until IIR is added. I am guessing either another two patches before that happens.

Tbh gaijin rushed these new sams so fast some of them are barely even functional.

the IRIS-T radar really do be strugglin to properly track anything that isnt going 30kmh

But laser CM’s work perfectly fine…

No, they’re bugged too but their buggyness makes them OP instead of broken → blinds everything in a sphere in parallel at the same time instead of only one target at a time.
