Planned Battle Rating Changes (August 2026)

Better cannon (pen, PPD) but comes with -3 gun depression, slow turret traverse and crippling reload.
Also worse armor and worse optics.

Vehicle: F4U-7

Mode: Air Realistic Battles

BR revision: 6.0 → 5.7

Reason: It is just a F4U-4B but it can mount very mean CAS loadouts like SNEB rockets, but that is almost completely irrelevant in ARB.

The only powerplant difference is the label, they both output the same power.

  • Arcade Battle BR: 4.7 → 4.3

  • Reload Speed: 5.9 s → 6.5 s

  • Add Pzgr.40(W) (APBC) Bug Report

  • Add Hl.Gr.38C (HEAT) Bug Report

Rationale
Apart from the roof MG catching HE rounds, the Hetzer is exceptionally difficult to kill from head on even in uptiers while simultaneously possessing a strong gun. But its lack of overall protection and unexceptional mobility makes it a bit iffy to justify moving up to 4.7 in my opinion. This could still be done, but it should still receive a heavy reload nerf regardless of what happens to its BR.

The Hetzer is a notoriously unergonomic vehicle. The loader is placed on the wrong side of the gun, requiring him to reach across the recoil guard to operate the breech and load rounds. This makes it odd for the in-game vehicle to have the same reload as ever other L/48-armed tank. Nerfing the reload would more accurately represent the Hetzer and gives other vehicles a longer window to try to immobilize or outmaneuver it.

Vehicle: BI
Gamemode: Air Realistic
BR Change: 7.0 —> 7.3 min
Reason: All similar aircraft are much higher in BR. This aircraft should not be at 7.0, at least 7.3. In the downtier, no one can even create the semblance of difficulty or competition for this aircraft. This is a unique aircraft, like all similar rocket planes, but at 7.0, this aircraft is simply a legal cheat. It won’t die at 7.3, but at least 6.0 won’t see that unbalanced abomination. With developer’s proposal to move up Zeros, that’s especially funny. What they can even do with BI??? The same is fair for all 6.0-7.0 planes, in my opinion. Move it up at least on 1 step, please!

Vehicle: J7W1

Mode: Air Realistic Battles

BR revision: 6.0 → 5.7 + interceptor spawn

Reason: Japan’s only exclusive Boom and Zoom single engine, is left to rot at 6.0, while even a Tu-2 from 5.7 can easily dunk on it.

J7W1 has 3 issues, poor climbrate (lift is created from the back thus it needs to point it’s nose up to fly level), poor medium speed performance, poor firerate, below average acceleration. It is an early jet, without the top speed of one, meaning if it wants to live it needs to fly above 500km/h. Issue? most superprops can catch even while level and easily accelerate to that speed on a 5 degree dive.

Why the interceptor spawn? well mostly because even sideclimbing the 5.7 props it will face will show above it, so the interceptor spawn is needed to make them meet at the same level and allow early presence in the battle.

Most of the US heavies are very good at their respective BRs. I would even argue that some of them are under-BR’d thanks to the average US players performance
The solid shot is not a problem at all. Look at the French tanks at similar BRs.

The solid shot that takes 15 seconds to reload and then does nothing… i beg to differ

At 7.0 lives the t29 with better global stats than the 6.7 tank that is being moved to 7.0.

Both heavies too. Try to justify…

Seafire LF III (UK + France)

Air Realistic BR: 5.0 - 4.7

It doesn’t have the performance over the Spitfire F Mk IX to justify a higher battle rating. It’s a sidegrade at best with slightly better performance at low altitude that gets much worse at altitudes as the Seafire doesn’t have a 2 stage supercharger.

I’ve never died in it that way, and I doubt you’d be able to snipe a machine gun past a few hundred meters before it lolpens you.

Not to mention, do you carry HE as you main shell?

It’s mediocre global stats don’t really justify doing both of those.

But it won’t - the Pz 4s (including Stug III) reload are going down to 5.0. So they won’t be the same.

The BR change will give a reload buff to many tanks of the same class, unifying them at 5 seconds.
However, the Jagdpanzer 38(t) Hetzer will not receive this buff and will remain unchanged from its current state.
This already puts it in a relatively nerfed position. Wouldn’t further nerfing it from here be going too far?

Vehicle: Yak-3U

Mode: Air Realistic Battles

BR revision: 5.7 → 6.3

Reason:
HATE. LET ME TELL YOU HOW MUCH I’VE COME TO HATE YAK-3U SINCE I BEGAN TO PLAY 5.7. THERE ARE 4501680 SECONDS OF MY ENTIRE PLAYTIME. IF THE WORD HATE WAS ENGRAVED ON EACH PICOSECOND OF THOSE HUNDREDS OF SECONDS IT WOULD NOT EQUAL ONE ONE-BILLIONTH OF THE HATE I FEEL FOR YAK-3U PLAYERS AT THIS MICRO-INSTANT. FOR YOU. HATE. HATE. HATE. HATE. HATE. HATE.

Yak-3U can keep pace to any opponent at the altitudes it is supposed to be “weak”, and the moment the enemy drops belows 2km of altitude, it can’t run, it can’t climb away, it can’t outturn it in most cases, it can’t trap it or stall it.

Last update sent the Spitfire LF Mk IX and Re.2005 serie 0 were sent up, and then every almost plane at 5.0 was sent up, Yak-3U from an already broken spot essentially came down.

And the Yak-3U has the nerve to fall below the dead corpse that are A6M5s in stadistics and apparently now BR, they always try a stall shot, those Yak-3U players don’t have even a concept of energy.

Then you have the Poor La-9, completely abandoned because the Yak-3U simply wins for free.

What heavy are we even talking about at this point? The T26s and T29s have APCBC with HE filler, which has better penetration than the pure AP.
If you are talking about APCR, just don’t use that unless you absolutely need it for a specific target.

The T26E5s reload time is half of that of the T29 (7.5 vs 15), its hull has way better protection and the turret, while being slightly less armoured, still is protected well enough.

XM246
8.7 → 8.3
why is the XM246 which has an incredibly slow chasis relative to other 35mm SPAA, the same guns and ammunition as the IPSTV leopard and gepard, and a rather poorly performing radar, a whole BR higher. this ruins the american 8.3 lineup, as it means the only usable SPAA is the M163 VADS unless youre willing to risk uptiers to 9.7. i think an 8.3 dowtier to the 246, or an 8.7 uptier to all NATO 35mm SPAA is in order

you dont need to blow the thing out of proportion

2.0 K/D is still very strong, its a strong vehicle but i dont think it ought to be over 5.0

I don’t think other German tanks getting reload buffs is going to notably effect the Hetzer’s performance. In an actual engagement, with any non-German tanks, nothing has changed.

Maybe something a bit less harsh, around 6.5~6.9 sec like the T-34’s, would be an acceptable nerf.

5.0 is too low as it will still face 4.0s.

These battles were all played at 5.3. Excuse the excessive Japan, the announcement of the Ho-Ri being removed has temporarily made Japan a major nation.

Oh no a Merkava mk2 shiver me timbers

really cant use current matchmaker as the baseline as japan was allergic to making good tanks (hence why they cope with fake TDs like the HO-RI)

ive never seen a 38t be a real threat tbh. doesnt take much to dispose of them

Surely they are working hard on coming up with better changes that don’t create more compression
