You’re right. my bad.
I’ve unlocked all the modifications now. I’m done talking about it — it was just a ridiculous aircraft.
When did thr pl12’s got buffed?
I’m not sure if this was changed with today’s update, but the radar position of the J-16 got changed. Gaijin believes that the J-16 radar sits entirely inside the radome apparently.
Before:

Now:

At least the antenna diameter now more closely matches the diameter at that point of the radome, but it makes not a lot of sense. Either the radome length would be decreased (See J-16D, J-15T, J-15DH, J-15DT) to match, or the radar would actually have to sit further back (if fixed plate) and be likely larger, or another theory is that it allows for extra length to gimbal, akin to Bars/Irbis/Virupaksha (the latter idk if it will be fitted with gimbal, but it would maybe be the closest analogue), but even then it wouldn’t sit this far ahead still.
Anyways, this change is kinda weird. The radar model itself is unique and not copy paste, I think, so maybe Gaijin knows more or are just making weird assumptions (maybe more likely here).
Wait, it’s the outer hardpoint, and it’s carrying a long object, but I’m not sure what it is exactly.
Looks like the radar wants to escape
did they change afterburner
Is today the day ? The day where I can enjoy the pl12 ? Please tell me it is
I think we may have achieved 1m of extra detection range by doing this alone.
I really hope they tune it down, though. I know we have been 1-2 chaffing arh seekers but this is too much 😅
any updates afterburner changed?
They forgot to secure the radar in place properly so it’s slowly sliding forward
You clearly are losing your mind because the J15T is not a Su-27 variant
Then I hope they’re ready for the backlash if they dare to revert it
from PL-12G
to PL-12 seconds till death
How does it feel to have obtained the best MRAAM in the game?
AMRAAM pulls better
so does the Mica and they buffed the range on it to be equivalent to the AMRAAM
some of this will be reverted lol the msls r over performing
PL-12 is the only MRAAM with a 16km pitbull range (is the R-77 an SRAAM?). As long as this part remains unchanged, the probability of the AMRAAM having an advantage is almost zero.
