Ive not tried it yet, but yeah… :D
Does anyone happen to know if there is a way i can centralise the cockpit gunsight on the mosquitoes without zooming in on ps5?
Thank you
The new NF Mosquito is pretty great imo.
You get an interceptor spawn as its classed as an air defence fighter rather than an attacker, so its really easy to intercept and shoot down bomber. It’s also a lot lighter than the other Mosquitos so climbs and turns a lot better.
Overall it feels a lot more like how I imagined a Mosquito should fly. The TR33 is also not too bad, it feels a bit faster than the other Mosquitos.
no kidding, its got good climb and fairly decent turning performance, you can compete with a suprising amount of single engined aircraft in a turn
I need to crack on and spade it at some point. I did one match in it so far, which didnt go well, because I thought me and a few teammates were going to commit to an engagement vs one guy on his own, only for them to turn around and leg it, leaving me to try and 1v1 a jap fighter, whcih didnt go well. Especially as I didnt realise they had run away, until after I made a turn designed to stay out of the way of a teammate coming in for a run rather than commiting to a proper turn fight
I was impressed by how well it turns, you can actually win dogfights in it unlike the previous Mosquitos. Add the airspawn to that, and its a really strong 3.7 plane.
Sadly it won’t beat a Zero in a dogfight haha, but its a great boom and zoomer which is still quite good in a dogfight against most planes
Im going to try and find some information on the roll rate of the Mosquitos irl, as that seems to be holding them back. I haven’t done many air bug reports yet, so I’ll see how it goes.
yeah, was dogfighting an XP-55 and VERY slowly winning until i busted one of my flaps off (the mosquito really doesn’t like that, you yaw so much and pitch above critical AoA as a result)
The Mosquitos in general seem to have some yaw issues, they like to wobble a lot at lower speeds which can make getting shots off in dogfights difficult. I’ve also found that if one engine dies, the other engine is powerful enough to send you into a flatspin if you WEP, maybe just a testiment to the merlin’s power lol
I just checked the game files and the two new British Mosquitos lack the advanced fuel weight (where fuel weight is modelled based of fuel tank position) that all other Mosquitos have (even the new Swedish ones). This seems to give the new Brit ones much better center of mass and therefore flight performance (Roll control especially)
Also, the TR.33 dosen’t have the dynamic weight modelled for the Uncle Tom rockets, so having an uneven loadout (after firing one off) dosen’t effect your flight performance like it does with the other mosquitos
theres some concerning Challenger 2 Armour Bugs Right now
25mm SAP/HEI killing Driver and Spall liner by hitting the underside of the turret cheek (This also occurs with 37mm M.Gr.18 of the Ostwind) - Assumed this is weird overpressure
14.5mm IAI Spalling and killing Driver + spall liner side on
12.7mm IAI pens the LFP of a Challenger 2 near the armour plug on the left
and just straight up penning the turret ring with 14.5
Further Breakdown of the issues

- Underside of Turret Cheek - overpressure Driver
- 25mm HE-I / SAPHEI-T (LAV/Stormer)
- 37mm M.Gr.18 (Ostwind)

- Turret Ring - damaging turret components and crew
- 12.7mm IAI (Russian 12.7mm)
- 14.5mm IAI (KPVT) + possibly AP(C)I-T

- Side near Fuel Tank + around Driver’s port - Damage Driver + spall liner
- 14.5mm IAI (KPVT)
- Possibly 25mm SAP/HEI

- Lower Front Plate hole only seem to happen while moving (not just backwards like a recently written bug report would suggest) - Spall Liner and killing driver
- 12.7mm IAI (Russian 12.7mm)
- possibly 14.5mm IAI
need to finish more testing before drafting some bug reports, should be ready by later today, until then i’ll write one about the CH2 Vert + Horizontal drive clipping through the spall liner

What mosquito in british TT is best for an air to air role? Just got the NF but having to stock grind it currently and not enjoying it as much as the FB but thats most likely because the FB is spaded. Also how do i read the radar of the NF?
the NF is the best by far for A2A, very light, good turn, and good climbrate
and the radar, just don’t bother, you’re not getting any useful info from it
I was wondering how comes the NF 2 is the slowest mosquito according to the stat card and yet it’s the lightest?
https://community.gaijin.net/issues/p/warthunder/i/oUKPJBBvm1pq
Wrote the bug report on the whole 14.5mm, 25mm, 30mm and 37mm over pressuring the driver
The stat cards all all bs
The Climbrate listed for the NF.2 is like 8.5 m/s on the statcard but I was getting more like 18.5 m/s ingame.
The top speeds, turn times, climb rates etc… are all wrong.
Does somebody has ADEN 30mm cannon rounds or gun itself documents?
I would like to check it because have heard they never used tracers irl.
Im sure this has been posted in the thread before, but here is the Ammo table for the 30mm ADEN/DEFA guns in the mid to late 70s.
I also found this:

And as you can see it has tracers. This is on the mk4, mk5 & mk6. All Sea Harriers (FRS.1(e), FRS.1 and FA2), and the GR.1 and GR.3 use the ADEN Mk.4 (Via the war thunder wiki).
So basically, they could, but whether they chose to or not is a completely different question.
I will look into this further to see if I can find some sort of updated table for the 30mm, but this is what i got in roughly 30 minutes of looking
Sources if anyone wants to critique:
Is there any docs that published before 1970s?
IIRC, they started to use ADEN since 1950s.
