Planned Battle Rating Changes (August 2026)

Mode: Ground RB
Vehicle: A-10C
Change: 11.7 → 11.3
Reason: Please, for the love of God, move this thing away from top tier, there is no universe in which it performs better than Su-25T which is 11.3 aircraft. Either by decreasing it br for now or by doing decompression.

I’ll test it to make sure, will return with an answer in a bit

If Ho-Ri, R2Y2 gone and it matters, then when Ostwind II gone and Kh-38MT? (Kh-29D or Kh-25MTP can be added to reasonably replace the fake 38MT)

Wait, I forgot the F-4Js (and EJs) are also moving down in GRB BR, nevermind lol

You are right, the F-5A(G) should also move down in BR (if Gaijin proceeds with those terrible BR changes)

Vehicle : Chieftain Mk 3
Gamemode : Ground Realistic Battles
Change : 8.7 —> 8.3
Reason : Chieftain Mk 3 is a vehicle with extremely poor mobility. Furthermore, it lacks a laser rangefinder and is unsuitable for long-range artillery fire. Considering that other nations’ BR 8.7 MBTs are equipped with laser rangefinders and some can even fire APFSDS rounds, a BR 8.3 rating is appropriate for Chieftain Mk 3.

I only see brit f4j and f4ej in spreadsheet

MTTD doesn’t have a machine gun, 105 does. Gaijin reaSONing or something.

Obviously T20 is far from the most extreme case, but it’s still relevant unless you suggest that the distribution of players using it more or less matches the distribution of WT GRB players in general.

On the personal level, I’m more concerned about 103C being perma-stuck at 9.0 where it has no business being, as well as 1A5s moving down now. Like, 1A5 is basically the reference 9.3 against which all other tanks in that BR range are measured, what the hell.

Vehicle : F-16 Block 15 ADF (USA)
Game Mode : Air Realistic Battles
Battle Rating : 13.3 → 12.7/12.3
Remove AIM-120A from US F-16 ADF and return it to Early F-16 with only AIM-7M, while Chinese and Italians get AIM-120 for historical reason, American shouldn’t because in the Research Tree American already have a better F-16 with AIM-120 at only 0.4 BR step up (F-16CM) and with it Counter Measure count change to ADF make it almost impossible to play around 13.0 - 14.3.

FG.1 and FGR.2 are also F-4Js (technically F-4K and F-4M, but mostly the same as the F-4J)

I saw them too but I think there is no usa f4j there

bringing it to 12.7 with AIM-120s removed makes it even worse to play

You’re right, I thought the US F-4J was going down as well, but I guess the AIM-7Ms make a bigger difference in GRB than they do in ARB according to Gaijin lmao

Its somewhat close to other US premiums at those brs, m18 black cat and super hellcat (played games wise), which dont have outstanding results.

I really wish we could get someone from the balacing team to come in here and explain what the hell they were thinking when they came up with these BR changes

No, they rely on efficiency. That means every useful action undertaken by a vehicle. Caps, hits, assists, kills, achievements, etc. Naturally because every useful action is rewarded in the game, this absolutely does mean that they also look at RP/economic progression and average earnings enabled by a vehicle, but the two things are closely connected anyway. Especially for regular TT vehicles: if you’re earning more than average with a vehicle, it directly means that vehicle is performing above average.

The pre-series Tiger IIs were not played a lot from the moment they became 6.7, for obvious reasons. Imho moving them to 6.3 is alright so long as they move down some other 6.7 underperformers, like they’re doing with the IS-2s, although really the M26 needs to be added to the list.

About a year and a half ago, before the mobility nerfs, Gaijin in one of these feedback threads actually identified two tanks that they said warranted moving up based on their stats: the Serienturm Tiger IIs (6.7 → 7.0) and the T29s (7.0 → 7.3), however neither move was followed through because of what they cited as the popularity of these tanks with the community.

Fast forward to August '25 and the Tiger IIs get hit with the engine nerf while the T29s get hit with a reload nerf.

2+2 seems pretty straightforward to me.

As it is now the regular Tiger II is fine at 6.7. The Sla is borderline 7.0 but again fine to stay where it is since it would have no lineup at 7.0 anyway (thanks to the removed vehicles, grrr). Don’t really understand the E5 going up. If they think it’s doing a bit too well they could always give it a slightly slower reload.

It is because they are TDs pretending to be mediums. You lolpen everything the way a tank destroyer would, but you suck at literally everything else. Their problem isn’t even the lack of armour, it’s that they don’t even get good mobility to offset the lack of armour. Add the poor targeting speed and you are left with a vehicle that must be played passively, it’s great at getting kills but terrible at winning matches, and it teaches new German mains to be passive as hell too, so that when they do get to their Tigers and Tiger IIs you barely see them push at all.

The Pz IV and its consequences have been a disaster for the German TT :P

No vehicle in the game plays itself.

Yeah there’s a collective hallucination going on about the T20, where everyone on the forums pretend it’s “just a Sherman with an angled hull” that only got so high up because of the god-given skill of its players. We’re all just pretending now not to know what makes a vehicle strong in GRB and that mobility + good RoF + APHE is almost always a winning formula.

Exactly, because it does not attract the same type of player. People who pick up the T20 do so because they know exactly what they’re getting and how to make use of it.

A similar point: whenever someone says the Pz IVs are undertiered because of German mains, it’s useful to bring up how the Italian premium Pz IV G is doing compared to the Italian premium Sherman Ic… which by the way is at a lower BR.

Most of these are pretty good BR changes and some I would say are long overdue.

Oh we had one

just tested penguins both with f16am and f5ag

f5ag is unable to lock onto ground targets, while the penguin able to fly into a stationary point, it’s usually not close enough to the enemy to do any damage whatsoever

f16am does a better job at aiming the penguins with its pod, landing right into the target, but it’s still unable to lock onto ground targets

dude this guy is literaly wrote my problem but as a MKK user im not agree about PL-12 section MAKE MY MKK 13.0 TOO because they are worse rn other than yea this guy is spoken truth my beloved :3
