Planned Battle Rating Changes (August 2026)

If it wasn’t ok, it wouldn’t be at 6.7

If anything, the Ferdinand (and Elefant) should move up

Another decent example would be the Chi-Nu II. For the longest time, it remained at 4.3 BR and even had its reload speed nerfed, while the Panzer IVs stayed at 3.7 until recently. A lot of this came down to the players using the vehicles rather than the vehicles themselves.

If there was a Panzer IV in the Japanese tech tree, I can almost guarantee it would have a higher BR than the German version simply because of the players.

At one point, they were thinking about moving the Chi-Nu II up to 4.7. So, pretty much, the tanks are okay, but Japanese players are built different and are amazing at the game, which is why the Ho-Ri Prototype is 6.7. Once everyone gets their hands on the Ho Ri, it’ll probably move down in BR.

XM has stabiliser
Full 360 degrees of turret rotation
better mobility
better gun handling.

Definitely a sidegrade to something who’s only real gimmick is being smol and gen 3 thermals

Also they would actually fit into lineups

Ehm no. If you want to play similar type vehicle at lower BR play Sub-I-II that does not have stab and laser range finder.

It does have lineup and it is arguably best <7.0 pseudo attack aircraft for Germany.

Same with the chieftain. Its armor is better but its slow as heck.

The lack of reverse is such a huge downgrade to the Wiesel 1A4 vs that. And since scout drones got scouting, the scouting rewards at EVERY br were drastically lowered.

Yak-3U chilling in 5.7 as if the moment a player of another nation hops on it the entire server is chopped and packed into filets

Yak-3U can only stay at 5.7 because A6M5 Ko/Otsu are there to keep it in check obviously. It’s the only explanation.

Like if totally Yak-3U cannot lose a 1v1 without earning a WT equivalent of the Darwin Awards on the way.🧠🧠🧠🧠

At this point it will be the only plane that needs consent from both parties to kill you, if it hasn’t crossed that line already.

That’s because Gaijin puts us through hell due to the whole BR compression, but also because the USSR has several lines of vehicles for Low tier. They provide us with little to nothing, despite all of the suggestions Grze and many others have posted getting forwarded to the Devs and never being added to the game.

But their excuse: We gave Japan a ship.

Goodbye Churchill VII, they breathed life into you with explosive armor piercing shells and now they return you back to the graveyard from whence you came by forcing you against 5.0 to 6.0 tanks.

Guess I wont be grinding British tanks anytime soon, again. Was looking forward to chewing some of them out but I guess that wont be happening since their all slug shooters from ranks 1 to 4.

gaijin thinks the mkVII does well because brit mains only use it in downtiers to compensate for the overtiering

Mode: Ground Realistic
Vehicle: Churchill VII & near-identical Churchill Crocodile
Proposed Change: Keep its BR at 4.7!

Unlike the Jumbo Shermans, Tiger H1/E, M6A1/T1E1, KV-1 family, or Excelsior that can actually move, these cannot. They have only 152mm cast steel which is currently just barely able to block shells frontally in a 3.7-4.7 full downtier. The gun does not pen any more than it used to - only now if it pens it actually kills things. That alone is not remotely worth uptiering it.

If people are letting a Churchill VII kill them, it is a player problem and not a vehicle one.

This, it’s precisely how I play mine and I hardly main any particular nation. I just adopted that mindset for heavy tanks regardless of nation.
