Planned Battle Rating Changes (August 2026)

in der Form:

Mode: (Ground Realistic / Ground Arcade …)
Vehicle: T-20
BR Change: x.x → y.y
Reasoning: I mean, this tank has such weak armor—anyone can take it out with a single shot. For instance, any tank can penetrate the lower hull—from the T-34 to the Tiger I and others. I really don’t see why this tank needs to be nerfed; it plays at 7.3, mostly against 6.7s like the Tiger II or IS-2, which can easily take it out with one shot without even aiming. Could it be that it’s already been nerfed? Because it didn’t used to be like that.

Yeah the BR compression is insane now. Also according to a little web diving and GPT, I found out the F1Cs’ been left rotting at 11.3 since relesae. Imagine a jet out for 4 years and still don’t have one ground vehicle matching in BR.

The Ho-Ri could sit comfortably at 6.3, but it also could end up overperforming.

For vehicle balance based on actual specs to work, we need a lot more decompression, not more compression. All we end up with is a more miserable experience when trying to use vehicles that aren’t favoured by the BR compression.

As it stands, we get way too few BR increases on average and, if people keep on making suggestions for BR reductions, we will continue to get more and more compression.

People always look at the planned changes, see a couple of reductions and start asking for other vehicles to go down, because they perform similarly, so we end up with possibly even more compression.

Since being emotional won’t help me even though venting sometimes makes me feel better, I will offer a suggestion instead. The Chi-To and Chi-To Late are sitting at a BR too high for what they offer. Their shell (Type 4 Kau) has a little more penetration than German’s PZ.IV H/J which sits at 4.0. The Chi-Tos have worse armor, a poor turret traverse rate, and hardly any mobility compared to lower tier vehicles. It really should be at a lower BR, either 4.3 or even 4.0.

You’re not going to agree with any of this because you already made up your mind about the vehicle a long time ago. However, it would work perfectly fine at 6.3. Almost everyone who discusses this tank asks the same question: “Why is this 6.7?”

The T-20 got a BR increase some time back, taking it to 6.3. Because there are so many 6.7-7.3 vehicles in all tech trees, the T-20 gets sucked into the uptier singularity on a regular basis. There’s nothing worse than going around a corner in a T-20 and there’s a couple Tiger IIs or a T44-100/IS3 sitting there with engines off. The numbers are skewed because people like Spookston plays it–a man who makes all tanks look easy to play. The reality is most who own it either put it on the shelf after the uptier or perfect the art of dying. I have no problem killing the rare T-20 when it shows up on the battlefield.

4.0 might be a stretch.

They should lower it to 4.3 and see how that shakes out.

You are right in saying that I am not going to agree with you, but that’s not because of the specific vehicle.
It’s because I cannot look at the planned BR changes and say:
“Yeah, you know what, let’s reduce the BR of these ones as well, there isn’t enough green on this table yet.”

Have you seen the armor on Ho-Ri Prototype?

Yes. There’s nothing wrong with it.

Pz.38(t) n.A

  • Rank: Rank I → Rank II

  • Add Spgr. 34(t) (HE)

  • Add Scouting

  • Correct top speed (Bug Report)

  • Correct Pzgr. 40 velocity (Bug Report)

germ_pzkpfw_38t_na
Rationale
The Pz.38(t) n.A is in a somewhat similar predicament to the BT-7M. It has the potential to be a capable rank 2 scount, but at its current rank, it feels redundant when the Pz.38(t) F is already an option. Adding the scouting ability would allow it to step into a currently unfilled role for Germany’s 2.3 line-up.

Ho-Ri OP BR 10

Seriously tho WTF. Over pen?

It’s higher BR than Jagdpanther or SU-100. Worse or same armor than both. Larger than both. Slower than both.

Why do you say 150mm of flat armor (at most) on a giant, slow TD is “nothing wrong”? At 6.7 with comparable mobility we have the Ferdinand, which reverses 4x as fast and has much better protection.

Anything above 4.7 can deal with this thing just fine

Is M103 worth using with HEAT?

I’d always bring some HEAT

Most likely better than the solid shot. I haven’t gotten to it yet.

Ho Ri Prototype 6.7 ➜ 6.3

The Ho-Ri Prototype would be the perfect counter to the Jagdpanther and wouldn’t struggle as much in a full uptier. Moving it back down to 6.3 is long overdue.

J6K1 6.7 ➜ 6.3

This aircraft needs to move down in battle rating. You hardly ever see anyone playing it because it’s constantly fighting 7.7 jets.

The main reason it was moved up in the first place was because people kept trying to turn fight it. The same applies to every other turn fighter that’s being moved up: if you’re flying an aircraft that isn’t a turn fighter, don’t try to out turn one.

I’m saying this as someone who’s honestly a pretty bad pilot. If I’m the one giving this advice, you know the situation has gotten pretty bad.
